weekly moments

1. I took a class on photography for instagram with Mrs. Peasy (party box business creator) and Sonya Yu (instragram superstar and all around amazing photographer). I loved it! I loved learning and being in an environment that was light hearted but still informative. I find that I have been on the other side of the classroom lately and teaching more than taking, so it felt great to receive information rather than share it. I’ll be taking another class soon, I know it.

2. Speaking of teaching, last February I taught at the School of Styling and made a few great connections. When I met Claire of Centered by Design I knew we would have a lot in common. She is a yogi who loves design. Done and done in my book. This week she was in from Chicago and interviews me for her  #womenwhomake series. I love anything that supports female entrepreneurs and makers.

3. I have been struggling with the amount of time I spend on my iPhone that isn’t productive and is just a time filler. I’m finally at a place where I want to change habits. It’s amazing how the universe responds when you make a decision. My friend Becky sent me this NYTimes article on just that and it really made me think about looking others in the eye and being present. Ah! I really need to work on this.

4. We did a wonderful wedding at the Bohemian Club. I love working with new photographers and this time I had the pleasure of working with the talented and hilarious Pat Furey and his lovely lady love.

5. In case you missed it, another Blooms in Season is up! Oh, how I love October. Welcome, welcome my favorite month.
Happy Friday, Friends!
