As a child my family and I would rent a house in Mendocino every summer. I looked forward to this trip for months and would be giddy when it was time to go pull out our winter clothes in preparation for the cool coastal climate. At this point I developed a deep appreciation for the quaint town, the beautiful bluffs and the natural beauty of the area. I was thrilled when it came time to do this wedding at a private estate in Mendocino called Spring Ranch.
The bride didn’t want any flowers that were too wedding-ish so we decided on a deep palate of black calla lilies, crimson succulents and blackberries which were off-set by dove grey dusty miller and iridescent pampas grass. Alison Events had a lot of fun styling the wedding with antiques we found in the barn where the reception was held.
The natural color palate worked wonderfully in the setting and the driftwood centerpieces perfectly complimented the Northern California costal setting. Kate Webber did a beautiful job of capturing all the detail shots, which is what makes any wedding truly unique.

Until then, Mendocino will always have my heart.
