As 2013 draws to a close, we are thinking about some of the trends we saw in flowers this year and what we might see next year. The blush garden rose Evelyn, was one of the most requested flowers this year and we expect it will be again in 2014. We’ve begun to see a loosening of bridal bouquets, from the very tight perfect round bouquet to a more asymmetrical and flowing shape. Pieris, in the bouquet above, drapes beautifully and we bought it up quickly whenever it was available at the market. Despite it’s fragility, hellebore was another flower we used whenever possible. It’s delicate coloring and beautiful shape is so enticing. We loved working with ferns this year and anticipate we continue to do so. What were your favorite plants or flowers for 2013?
