This is my fifth year presenting a piece in the Bouquet to Art exhibition at the de Young Museum. It is an honor to be part of this fun event and my husband and I always collaborate in the design and construction of our floral sculpture. This year we took a cheeky approach and played off of the talking “hi” bubble in Claus Oldenburg‘s piece, “Parade of Women”. The artist is most known for his sculptures of everyday objects, which is what inspired our interpretation of his piece with our giant talking “hi!”. The exhibit is running through Sunday, so come by and take a look . To see what we have done in past years, take a look here.
