authentic italian

Friday, October 28th, 2011

The lead assistant at Natalie Bowen Designs took a wonderful trip to Italy earlier this month. Jenny lived there over ten years ago, and when she returned with her still perfect Italian language skills on this trip she was on the look out for all things Italian. Including the flowers. Then, why or why, were the flowers shops all FAKE flower shops. As you can see in the above photo not everything is as authentic as it may seem. Fake flowers aside, I am still envious of what seems to be a fabulous trip and feel a bit as if I were there by looking at these photos.

I love a green wall and this one is pretty much perfect. I know where I want to go to dinner tonight!

Ciao,

a succulent ring pillow

Monday, October 17th, 2011

We are always looking for alternatives to the typical ring pillow. For a wedding in September we turned a succulent in to a modern and unexpected ring pillow. By simply attaching ribbon to the succulent we were able to tie the ring on. Now that is a ring pillow I like!

a crown of flowers

Flower crowns are not just for flower girls. Any bohemian bride can wear one and doesn’t this bride do it so well? We made this head garland out of tweedia, muscari and frittalaria and this it is fit for a fairy. Kelly Freedman‘s photography and Tricia Turner’s makeup are the only thing that could make this image more beautiful.
